Welcome to digiTrail. These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and digiTrail Studio ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") governing your download, access, and use of the digiTrail mobile application and web portfolio services (collectively, the "Services").

IMPORTANT FINANCIAL DISCLAIMER: digiTrail is a self-directed personal wealth tracking and ledger software tool. We do not provide certified financial, investment, accounting, tax, or legal advice. All calculations, interest simulations, and net surplus projections are for tracking purposes only.

1. Acceptance of Terms & Eligibility

By downloading, installing, or accessing digiTrail, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. You must be at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into binding contracts to use our Services.

2. Description of Services

digiTrail provides users with a comprehensive financial studio, including:

Multi-Asset Portfolio Engine: Real-time valuation tracking for Stocks, Cryptocurrencies, Gold, Real Estate, and Cash holdings.
Cashflow & Envelope Budgeting: Income logging, discretionary envelope budget capping, and monthly net surplus calculations.
Debt Paydown Models: Interest vs principal schedule simulations (snowball and avalanche paydown methodologies).
Peer Lending Receivables: Recording money lent to others with repayment logging.
Document Exporter: Local generation of PDF, DOCX, and CSV financial statements.

3. Financial & Investment Disclaimer

The information provided by digiTrail does not constitute financial, investment, or tax advice. You agree that:

All calculations, net worth valuations, and interest models are generated based solely on user-entered values and market estimates.
You are solely responsible for evaluating your financial decisions and should consult a certified financial advisor before taking any financial actions.
We are not liable for any financial losses, investment decisions, or tax penalties resulting from your reliance on the software.

4. User Accounts & Authentication

If you choose to enable Online Storage Mode via Google Sign-In:

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account credentials.
You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.
You are solely responsible for all activities occurring under your authenticated session.

5. Storage Sovereignty & Data Backups

When operating in Offline Mode, your data resides strictly on your physical device. You acknowledge that if you delete the application or lose your physical hardware without generating an encrypted export backup, your local data cannot be recovered by us.

6. Acceptable Use & Restrictions

You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:

Decompile, reverse engineer, or disassemble any portion of the digiTrail application.
Use the Services for fraudulent, illegal, or unauthorized money laundering activities.
Attempt to interfere with or compromise the security or integrity of our Google Firebase cloud infrastructure.

7. Intellectual Property Rights

All title, ownership rights, and intellectual property rights in and to digiTrail—including logos, trademarks, software code, user interface designs, and documentation—remain the exclusive property of digiTrail Studio.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, digiTrail Studio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of data, hardware malfunction, or financial losses arising out of or in connection with your use of the Services.

9. Account Termination & Data Erasure

You may terminate these Terms at any time by uninstalling the application or deleting your cloud account via App Drawer > Delete Account & Cloud Data or submitting a request at our Account Deletion Request Portal.
